They are gorgeous! Great find. By the way, I'm also from NC so I told my mom to watch you yesterday on Nate Berkus. She was very impressed with your finds!

Change the paint and fabric, sure. But don't remove the arms! One, they are necessary to the aesthetic lines of the chairs and Two, the chairs may fall apart. They need those arms to maintain structural soundness.

They must have been a great price for you to swoon! I love them.

Wow. Really, WOW! Love those little casters. New paint, amazing fabrics, yes, but I second Juli: Please don't remove the arms. Armchairs are so much more comfortable at the dinner table, and alone, as occasional chairs, they have much more presence. I have been looking for some chairs like these for a long, long time.

Of course I did. LOL.

Whoa, are you going to have fun! Please, keep the arms. Sitting in an armchair is so much more comfortable. Also, you might want to remove or replace the wheels. They look very hotel ballroom like with them. I am thinking of distressed gold paint with elegant silk upholstery, but then you might be going a different direction. Ann

So cool! I like the arms as well, and the wheels are really neat. I wonder why they only have them on the front?

I love those green chairs!

As for only front casters, to me it seems they would assist the maître d' while seating guests.

MAN you know how to FIND good bones. You are my brother from another mother IDOL! Those twelve chairs would have been a hot mess if they were here. I would have been making 12 trips across the water to get them each home into my garage. Just. Saying.
