Hi Rashon, I was hoping that you could expound a little bit on what was discussed in this meeting. Seems like an interesting idea (resurgence of the southern gentleman & combining resources to help impact the community). Your styles are fairly unique but could you please share more on the content of the brunch.

@ Jeremy thanks so much for your question.

At this time the discussions held at our meetings is kept exclusively among the members.

I can tell you that we will be promoting heavily the lifestyle of the southern gentlemen through a series of events.

Please stay close to the blog so that you will be the first to know when

Where's the diversity? There are well dressed white, Hispanic, Asian, etc. gentlemen. Or were their invitations conveniently lost in the mail?

@ Anonymous

As usual comments that intend to throw salt in the game come from ANONYMOUS person.

I invited gentlemen of various "racial" backgrounds to join us.

However, they choose NOT to attend.

As far as invitations getting lost in the mail...

Now you are talking! Please keep up the good work and hopefully others will appreciate you.

LOVE!! i'll echo the first commenter jacki - so much style in one room!

& i know i should ignore anonymous' comment but i just can't...so here goes....

i find it so odd that someone would comment and say that? what IF he only invited black men, would that be so bad or wrong? you (rashon) have since said you invited other stylish people of other races who chose not to attend so that explains that...but why should you have to explain?!?! i read tons of blogs. TONS. and on the ones written by people of other races (i am black) i regularly see pictures taken at blogger outings, lunches, get togethers and the groups are far from diverse - not a black person, asian, hispanic etc. person in sight - do those blogs get annoymous comments asking where the diversity is? no. in my years of blogging i've never seen the diversity of any of those get togethers questioned - so is it because this is an outing that only has black people in attendance why this comment has arisen? i mean seriously....

ugh, i seriously shouldn't care what this anon person has to say. probably a troll. but i couldn't help but vent and respond. sorry for the long comment rashon! if you choose not to publish i understand but had to get that off my chest.

keep doing you.

Well I think the way to avoid the snark is to just not allow Anonymous comments anymore. Most blogs have an option for that of some kind. That way if someone has something to say, and they don't want to address you in a more private manner, let them put their name behind it.

I am married to a Texas Southern gentleman and the daughter of another. Southern manners are certainly not universal, are they? The art of calling cards, opening doors for ladies, Ma'ams and Sirs, has fallen by the wayside. Bring it back, Rashon!
