[well i did it...]

did what you ask?
i sold my dining chairs off craigslist  yesterday. surprisingly it wasn't a hard task. in less than an hour a lovely couple emailed me and picked them up. i kept putting off selling them, but knew i really wanted to get rid of them. it was something about them that were always off to me.
they served their purpose well. the've seen a many dinner parties and have supported the bums of many guests. but now i am off to find new ones.

what am i looking for?
i wont say just yet.
perhaps no dining table...but a pool table...
yea. that sounds about right..

so...what have you bought off craigslist lately?

Lucky them! And lucky you, now you get to find something better. I scored a great deal on Craigslist, a dresser for my daughter for $45! It has the french provencial look! Can't wait to paint it :)

Funny how things change. I'm sure they were perfect at one time, as they will be for the new owners. I used to be so attached to 'things' but recently have found a 'lightness' to getting rid of the 'stuff'! Have a lovely weekend. Annie x.

Haha, to bad you're not in New York, Rashon. I just listed and sold my pool table on Craigs List because we are moving, too! I sold a couple of other larger pieces as well {we're downsizing; no room for them}.

Funny you ask! I was JUST in the market for some chairs myself . . . although wooden- to paint. Found the perfect ones . . . but BLAST, they were SOLD!
Ended up painting my originals and was most pleased!

Someone got some very nice chairs and now you have a little more room to dream about what will be their replacement!

Oh, I wish I was in S.C., I certainly would have snatched up those chairs! My latest purchase from Craigslist is aa oak topped table made using an iron base from a treadle sewing machine. I love it and it's now in my sewing room holding my two vintage sewing machines.

A pool table would make you my boyfriends hero.. he would get rid of our bed for a pool table if it was up to him! :-)

Out with the old and in with the new "you just weren't feeling them" I can't wait to see what you do next. I recently bought a dining room set off of Craigslist and I been refinishing it in my garage for about two weeks, I hope reveal it sooner then later...stay tuned :)

We just bought stand up paddle boards on Craig's list and we saved a bunch.

The parsons chairs looked great in your dining room, but I understand when a person feels it's time to change something out and incorporate a new look. I notice your ad says "moving sale." Are you moving from your condo?

My 20-something daughters recently found a wood desk, a beautiful, mid-century Scandinavian teak sideboard, and a housemate on Craigslist!

Wow- you sold them for an amazing price! I can definitely see how they went in an hour! I haven't yet tried craigslist (I know- I'm behind the times with that!) With great deals like that, I should start checking!

My most recent Craigslist find was this chair, that I just made over:

I haven't bought anything off CL in a while but I did just sell 4 chaise lounge chairs. They went to a really nice couple that appreciated them as much as I did. That made me happy. Win-win situations are my favorite!

I agree with Annie, I've learned to let go of the need to accumulate and be attached to things. What a relief. :)

Right now I'm waiting for the perfect cream/off-white cowhide zebra rug to show up on CL. I’m patient...
