[Momma GWH sneak peek]

my biggest supporter has always been my mother, Momma GWH.
i went home this weekend for our annual church convocation and spent time with my family. when my sister and i were babies and toddlers, my mother made all of our clothes. matching clothes. boys and girls sailor outfits...lol

while i would do almost anything to have her make me something she says men clothing takes a lot longer to craft than women clothing...oh well.

Momma GWH made this dress for a dear friend of mine who wore it this weekend during our annual church gathering. the client, Lady C, chose this beautiful golden satin and shimmery fabric and Momma used her 30 plus years of sewing to put it all together (i will show more of it later).
remember this coat, hat and bag Momma GWH made for herself last year?

i will show a little more of Momma GWH custom pieces as the year moves along.

Lady C looks fabulous. The dress, the fit, everything is gorgeous. Your mother is very clever. I have 2 girls - 6 and 8 - and I would love to be able to sew for them. My mother sewed all my 'good' clothes when I was young and I never appreciated it. I sure do now. Love the dress and love your mum's coat - so glamourous. Annie x.

Wow, Rashon, I love the coat and hat your Mom made for herself! What a talent ~ I'm lucky I can make pillows!

So your talent is inherited from your mother, right? She sure can sew. I can't wait to see more of her creations.

WOW! Your mother is amazing! My mother also made clothes for us when my two brothers and I were little. My favorite was a blue dress with Ariel from the little mermaid embroidered on it. (Gee, think I'm a child of the 80's? ;)

So sweet! My mama used to make all of our clothing when we were kids too. And she's the one who taught me to thrift! (Mostly because we were always broke) But it taught me some amazing thrifting skills!

So glad I just discovered your blog!
