I absolutely your love of black and white, and how you've incorporated it in your home. I love your place (I've been stalking your design pics).

You always use black shades on your lamps. Every time I see them I am wowed by how sophisticated it looks! Something I have to try in my home for sure.

Your bedroom is very attractive. You have "the touch." The only thing that seems a bit "off" to me are the letter trays on the big black tray with floral insert. I know you like the grid pattern of the wire, but to me, they look a bit "utilitarian" in contrast with the other elegant pieces. Your bedroom has a look of elegance & sophistication. I see a brass bowl on that tray, to echo the brass lamps and to form a triangle with the eye. Just my opinion. I can't help myself sometimes. I'm not criticizing, just putting in my two cents! ♥

Hey Joyce!

The baskets arent there because of the grid pattern.

They are simply functional, holding my remote controls and magazines while I'm in bed.

Thanks for dropping by!

So how did a thrifty guy like you manage to get his hands on the Chiang Mia fabric??

Hello! I first came across your beautiful decor @ Apartment Therapy. I've been following you ever since, but have never really left a comment. I love your bed (I have the exact same one, but mine's upholstered in fabric). I'll be visiting your blog on a weekly basis! :) Thanks for the inspiration.

I love your bedroom! You have a great mix of black and red, but it doesn't look dark at all with the white comforter. Loving it!

Love the room, especially the graphic cushions. Am about to action your point about something to hold cufflinks (and all the other stuff that my husband carts around in his pockets) to keep the dresser tidy! Thanks for your comment and I have so enjoyed watching your success recently - so inspiring and makes me really happy to see what can happen. Keep enjoying! Love Annie x.

Rashon, have you ever heard of Old English furniture polish? A few swipes on those spots on your bureau will fix it right up! Got my Tshirt today! Ann

Nutbird so glad your shirt came!

I would use polish, buut I am getting it repainted and lacquered in a high gloss very soon...

How soon?
Good question...lol

Love it, love it! I'm always afraid to use patterns because I don't have the confidence to put it together! Also, LOVE the bedhead! It reminds me of the one Jennifer Lopez's character has in "The Backup Plan" (I remembered 'cause I just saw the movie!). If you say you got that at a thrift store, I'm gonna have a coronary!!

Oh my! You are a man who wears cuff links! Swoon. I'm grateful my hubs works at a job that allows him to wear jeans and trendy t-shirts day in and day out (easy on the budget and minimal clothing maintenance required). However, there are a few things in this world that can help any man look handsome - a nice pressed shirt, cuff links and an attractive cologne. Good work! (Your room is stunning too!)
